Not Long Now

Well the house is just about empty, just a few things left that are going to charity.
We are sleeping in Maggie.
We have to get a few things for our drive.
The weather is not being nice.

Storms

Boy has Perth had some bad weather, heavy rain, big winds, tornado, what a start to winter. We have faired ok, just a few branches down, 3 lots if no power. Maggie came to rescue running off her battery for lights and charging my mobile phone.

The rain is good, but lots of weeds are appearing in the gardens around the house. Not what we need as we are about to sell our house.

Still working out how to use this properly on my tablet.

Time For A Change

Well it has been a year since i said anything on my blog.
Time for that to change as we are about to embark on a journey back to Queensland to be closer to family.

Its all a been a bit hectic lately, Our house is for sale, I celeberated my 50th Birthday with a huge party with family and friends.

We have bought a caravan, was a bit sad saying goodbye to our trusty camper trailer. We love Maggie our caravan but she is off getting a new air conditioner. Hope we get her back soon, our first trip is planned and booked. Off down south for the long weekend.

Will make sure i am not so slack with my blog in future.

My Special Mothers Day & Birthday Trip

Firstly I must thank my son Stephen for this once in a lifetime trip.

After a very long flight I arrived at Charles Degaulle Airport on Sat 7th May at approx 6.40am.
I had to wait 3 very long hours for Stephen to arrive, and of course he arrived at a different area to me.
Took a while but he found me, grabbed a taxi to our lovely little hotel Ares, near the Eiffel Tower.

Our room wasn't ready so we went for a walk and checked out the magnificent scenery & buildings on our way to the Eiffel tower. We were both in awe of that magnificent structure.

We ventured back to our Hotel and up to our room for a much needed shower and cuppa but there was no kettle :(  We went out and did some shoppping for our breakfasts and tea and milk, i got soy cream instead of soy milk lol. Back at the hotel I asked at reception for some boiling water so i could have a much needed cup of tea.

I will have to go and turn photo's around before i can upload them.
